Sunshine Ski Village was established in 1928, in the heart of Canada's Banff National Park.
Sunshine Ski Village Sunshine ski village offers more than 3,000 acres of beginner, intermediate and expert terrain that will satisfy all abilities of skiers and snowboarders. Goat's Eye Mountain boasts 1,900 vertical feet of powder and groomed runs. It can be accessed by a high-speed detachable quad in just five minutes.
Sunshine Village Sunshine Village is known for its light fluffy powder -- more than 30 feet per year of 100 percent natural snow. No snowmaking is required due to the 8,954-foot elevation.
Canmore is located about 20 km's from Sunshine ski village and has a lovely downtown shopping area of artisan shops and restaurants. The town of Banff, 16 km (10 miles) away, is well known around the world for its beautiful mountain community.
Visitors with small children can rest assured that their kids are being well cared for while enjoying a day on the slopes. The Sun-Rype Kids Kampus day care center has full and half day programs for kids ages 19 months to 6 years. Children ages 3 through 12 can learn to enjoy skiing with certified children's instructors.
