Welcome to La Maison Campbell B&B, a '4 sun' bed and breakfast in Magog, offering 'meticulously furnished rooms' (Lonely Planet 2007).
Previous owner of L'Abri'cot B&B in Knowlton, Danielle now welcomes you at la maison Campbell B&B, her centennial house that impresses with its warm decor and beautiful gardens in Magog, Eastern Townships.
Refined and personalized breakfasts (gluten free, vegetarian or vegan available on demand) will make you want to stay longer and come again. All five comfortable and elegant rooms have their own private bathroom with shower. You will also find a hair-dryer and a radio-CD player in each. Wireless access to internet (WiFi) is available throughout the house and in the garden.
La maison Campbell B&B dates from 1907 and is in marvellous condition with fine woodwork and very quiet. It is the country in the city. Take time to relax around the house and in the gardens. Enjoy a glass of Port 'on the house' by the cosy fireplace in the winter or in the gardens in the summer. We are seconds away and walking distance to all services including the beach and marinas on lake Memphremagog, boutiques, restaurants, bars, antique shops, etc, on rue Principale (main street) in Magog.
Activities and advantages
Several activities are accessible in the city and in the region. At la maison Campbell B&B, you can choose your activities according to you daily inspiration (and the weather) while benefiting from discounts to our guests without being bound to a pre-paid package (often non-refundable!).
Year round, you may walk leisurely from our home to Magog's main street, along the lakeside, the river or on the natural trails of the Cherry river marsh.
Summer activities additionally include bicycling and rollerblade (the "Route verte" bicycle path is in front of our house), tennis, walks in the forest of Mount Orford park, visits of vineyards such as Le Cep d'argent or lavender fields such a Bleu Lavande or Joie de lavande, golf at mont Orford or at Owl's Head, etc. You can also rent a canoe, kayak, sailboard or a small sailboat on Lake Memphremagog or opt for a tour with captain on bigger boats. More adventurous water fans can also rent a motorboat or a seadoo.
Winter activities include ice skating by the lake, cross-country skiing and snow shoeing in the forest of Mount Orford Park, ice fishing, dog sledding, or downhill skiing at Mount Orford, Owl's Head, Sutton, Jay Peak, etc. Our guests get preferential rates for downhill skiing at several mountains (approximately a 10$ discount on the regular daily ticket). You can also rent a skidoo for a few hours!
Several restaurants offer advantages to our guests: 10% discount at the Piazzetta, complimentary aperitif at l'Actuel, "table d'hote" at Fondissimo, etc. Many other activities are easily accessible: le Vieux clocher de Magog, la Marjolaine summer theatre, "table champetre" (dinner at the farm) such as Au gre du vent or Aux jardins champetres, etc. For other activities, simply ask us!
