This Kicking Horse Mountain Resort Vacation Rental is laid out over two floors. The sense of space on the upper floor is amplified by double height, vaulted ceilings and high-reaching windows. Taking full advantage of this aspect is the great room, warmed by refined furnishings and a gas fireplace. Sitting directly behind is an inspiring open-plan kitchen, fitted with choice stainless steel appliances, marble top counters and dominated by an impressive central island. A small bar linking kitchen and living area adds to the congeniality of this space. Guests dine at a 12-seater wooden dining table off to the left.
The first of two master en-suite bedrooms occupies most of the remaining space on the first floor. A decadent four poster king size bed will revive ski-weary limbs. The large bathroom attached has convenient his and hers sinks, a large bath and a shower fitted with soothing rain shower head and an auxillary shower jet.
The second master with en-suite shower room and twin sinks and the two additional en-suite bedrooms – that can be configured as king or twins – are located on the lower level. Each of the four bedroom is fitted with a flat-screen television, dvd player and cable. On this floor there is also is a contemporary media room with leather finishings. Two sofas can pull out into double beds providing sleeping space for up to four additional people.
There are three covered decks in total. The main living room opens onto a deck overlooking the Columbia Valley and Rocky mountains, while to the rear of the house there is a large deck with BBQ facilities and a 10-person hot-tub. Downstairs, accessed from the hallway and the second master is a second smaller and more intimate hot-tub.
