Canada Heli Skiing - Description
The Columbia Mountains are located in southeastern British Columbia, west of the Rocky Mountain Trench. They are made up of four large ranges: Cariboo, Monashee, Selkirk and Purcell mountains, which together straddle the headwaters of the Columbia River. Together they form the first tall barrier east of the Coastal Ranges. Forming a cloud piercing obstacle for eastward moving air masses, the Columbia Mountains continuously capture atmospheric moisture. The result is abundant summer rains and abundant winter snowfall.
The heli operators located in these four mountainous regions are easily accessible from Calgary AB or from Kelowna BC, either by rental vehicle, shuttle or private transfers (ground or helicopter). Guests should prepare to add one day travel pre and post of start and end date. Heli ski operators generally work with selected hotels allowing for transfers to run smoothly.
To heli-ski the Columbia Mountains, your accessible ski areas would be: Panorama, Fernie, Kimberley, Kicking Horse at Golden, BC, Nelson, and Revelstoke, Red Mountain at Rossland.

Deposit: A deposit is required to secure a reservation. Balance is due 90 days pre start date or at time of booking if start date is post 90 days. Payment is made to the operator via this concierge service and is taken by credit card (Master Card or Visa) or by bank transfer.
Policies Heliski packages are sold in units, beginning and ending on a specific date. No refund is given, in whole or in part, for unused days or transportation resulting in later arrival or early departure. If guests decide not to ski one day, or stop skiing early and do not reach the guaranteed vertical, there will be no refund.
Cancellation Down days are also non-refundable. However, if due to mechanical breakdown or poor weather and the operator is not able to fly and vertical feet/meters are not reached as set by the package purchased, then operators will refund the un-skied footage back to guests on the amount charged for additional purchase of vertical feet/meters.
