Backcountry skiing in Alberta - Description
Mount Engadine Lodge is a full service lodge set in the back country of Kananaskis near Burstal Pass, Chester Lake and Rummel Lake. Built in 1988 for the Calgary Olympics and renovated in 2004, the Lodge provides accommodations for 28 guests both in a main Lodge and a Chalet building that has three cabins with log beds and private bathrooms. We provide three meals and afternoon tea.
There are two large suites in the Lodge with fireplaces and private bathrooms. Hot tub, wood burning sauna and large sitting rooms await guests after day long outings of spectacular hikes or skiing. Guests can cross country ski on machine-groomed tracks from the Lodge or backcountry ski or snow shoe right out the back door to explore the vast areas of skiing in the powder around the Lodge.
There is machine groomed track set skiing (classic and skate) at the Mount Shark Biathalon range nearby. Canmore Nordic center is 35 kms north of the Lodge on the Smith Dorrien Road.

Deposit: A $100 dollar (per person) deposit is due when making a booking reservation.
On all group, event and wedding bookings, a $1000 deposit is required at time of booking.
All cancellations incur a $50 administration fee.
Visa, MasterCard and personal cheques are accepted.
Policies All accommodations include breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
A two night minimum stay is required, and Tourism Levy (4%) and GST (7%) are not included.
Cancellation Refund available with 2 weeks notice for 8 guests or less
Refund available with 3 weeks notice for 10 guests or more group size
